Bricklaying for Darren isn’t just a business - it’s in his genetics. Following in the footsteps of his father, Pat Read, who is renowned in the region as a craftsman of his trade, Darren started out as an apprentice at the age of 17.
The father and son duo worked together for seven years before Darren went out on his own and established R&R Bricklaying - but it’s safe to say he’s learnt for the best, and you can expect nothing less when you trust R&R Bricklaying to complete your project.
While some bricklayers can have a reputation for being grubs on-site, Darren is quite the opposite and ensures his team always take pride in maintaining a clean and tidy workplace throughout the duration of their work.
When Darren isn’t working with his team on the latest domestic or commercial bricklaying project, he’s busy chasing around his two young boys at their family home in Koonwarra.
Darren is a country boy through and through; having grown up in Tarwin, he’s passionate about country living and the Gippsland area. He understands just how important local, family-run businesses are to rural and regional areas and provides reliable and high-quality service to each and every client - no matter how big or small the project may be.
